Abe M. Friedman

Mr. Friedman joined PJT Partners through the acquisition of CamberView Partners in 2018. Mr. Friedman founded CamberView in 2012 and served as its Chief Executive Officer through 2018. He has over twenty-five years of corporate governance, financial industry and legal experience.

Before founding CamberView, Mr. Friedman was Managing Director and Global Head of Corporate Governance and Responsible Investment at BlackRock. Prior to that role, he served in leadership positions, including Global Head of Corporate Governance, at Barclays Global Investors from 2005 until the company merged with BlackRock in 2009. In 2003, Mr. Friedman helped found Glass, Lewis & Co. and served as Chief Policy Officer and General Counsel.

Mr. Friedman currently serves as a member of the Board of Advisors of the NYU Law Institute for Corporate Governance & Finance. Mr. Friedman previously served on the SEC’s Investor Advisory Committee and as co-director of the Stanford Institutional Investors’ Forum. The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) has recognized Mr. Friedman four times as one of the 100 most influential leaders in corporate governance.

Mr. Friedman holds a JD, a Master’s in Public Policy and a Bachelor’s degree, with honors, in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
