Christopher A. Wightman

Chris Wightman is a Partner at PJT Camberview, based in San Francisco.

Mr. Wightman joined PJT Partners through the acquisition of CamberView Partners, of which he was a founder, in 2018. He has more than two decades of corporate governance and financial industry experience and advises clients on all aspects of corporate governance and shareholder engagement with a focus on shareholder activism, complex proxy voting, and executive compensation matters.

Before joining PJT Camberview, Mr. Wightman led the global corporate governance and portfolio compliance oversight programs for Vanguard. In that role, he assisted the Board of Directors and Proxy Oversight Group with policy decisions. He oversaw daily operation of governance and proxy voting matters for nearly 200 Vanguard portfolios that held thousands of equity securities around the globe. Mr. Wightman began his career at Vanguard as a securities regulation attorney in the Legal Department, where he served as assistant secretary of the Vanguard funds and handled a variety of transactional and securities law matters.

Mr. Wightman received a JD from University at Buffalo School of Law where he currently serves as Chair of the Dean’s Advisory Council.
