Andreas Dombret

Andreas Dombret is a Senior Advisor at PJT Partners.

Dr. Dombret has more than 35 years of experience in global banking and financial services. He has held senior leadership roles at Deutsche Bank, J.P. Morgan, Rothschild and Bank of America. From 2010 to 2018, Dr. Dombret served as a member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Bundesbank, where he was responsible for banking supervision, financial stability, and markets. During this period, he also served on the Board of Directors of the Bank for International Settlements and as a member of the Supervisory Board of the European Central Bank. He represented Germany at the G7 and G20, the International Monetary Fund, the Basel Committee and the OECD.

In addition to PJT, Dr. Dombret serves as a Senior Advisor to Permira, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Banco Santander, Oliver Wyman and Amazon Web Services. He is Chairman of N26, the European neobank.

Dr. Dombret holds a Master’s degree from the University of Münster and a PhD from the University of Nürnberg. He teaches finance at the European Business School in Wiesbaden, where he was appointed Professor in 2009, and since 2018 serves as an Adjunct Senior Research Scholar at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
