Carla Ruiz

Carla Ruiz is a Partner in the Strategic Advisory Group at PJT Partners, based in New York.

Prior to joining PJT Partners, Ms. Ruiz was Executive Vice President at Shiseido, where she built and led the company's Global M&A and Corporate Venture functions. Before Shiseido, she served as Head of Global M&A for Beauty, Baby and Femcare at J&J Consumer (Kenvue). Ms. Ruiz began her career in investment banking, first in the M&A group at Citi and subsequently in the Consumer & Retail team at UBS, where she focused on the Household & Personal Care sector.

Ms. Ruiz has extensive experience advising on domestic and cross-border transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, minority investments and partnerships in beauty, personal care and wellness globally.

Ms. Ruiz serves on the Board of Columbia Business School Women's Circle and is Vice Chair of the Board of America Needs You, an organization dedicated to supporting first-generation college students.

Ms. Ruiz received a BS in Finance and Accounting from Universidad del Pacífico and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
