Amit Sharma is a Managing Director focused on Healthcare in the Strategic Advisory Group at PJT Partners, based in Los Angeles.
Prior to joining PJT Partners in 2020, Mr. Sharma was an Entrepreneur during which time he successfully founded and exited multiple startups.
Between 2009 and 2014 Mr. Sharma held various global leadership roles within Amgen, across Sales, Marketing, Corporate Development and Corporate Strategy. During this time Mr. Sharma’s responsibilities included various Senior Leadership roles across Amgen Oncology, in addition to on-the-ground efforts to help establish Amgen’s Chinese affiliate in Shanghai and Amgen’s Brazilian affiliate in São Paulo.
Mr. Sharma started his banking career at J.P. Morgan focusing on Biotech M&A across both New York and London. He received a BA in Biology (specialization in genetics) from The University of Chicago.
