Senior Advisor
Anne Marie Cannon is a Senior Advisor at PJT Partners.
Ms. Cannon has over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas sector through senior roles within both investment banking and executive and non-executive director roles with private and quoted companies.
Ms. Cannon commenced her career in 1980 with Shell UK Exploration & Production enjoying a range of commercial and taxation roles within finance before moving into the independent sector in the late eighties to join Thomson North Sea. She went on to join the board of Hardy Oil & Gas as an Executive Director responsible for Acquisitions and Divestitures and merged Hardy with British-Borneo Petroleum to create one of the leading independents in the late nineties. From 2000 to 2014, she was senior advisor to the Natural Resources Group with Morgan Stanley, focusing on upstream M&A.
Ms. Cannon is currently Deputy Chair of Aker BP ASA and a Non-Executive Director on the Board of BlackRock Energy and Resources Income Trust plc. She was formerly a Non-Executive Director on the Boards of Harbour Energy plc, STV Group plc, Aker ASA and Aker Energy AS. She holds a BSc Honours Degree from Glasgow University and is a Fellow of the Energy Institute.
