David Muir is a Partner in the Strategic Advisory Group at PJT Partners focusing on Global Policy and External Affairs, based in New York.
Mr. Muir has advised some of the world’s most significant corporations on complex commercial challenges related to external and government affairs and high-stakes situations ranging from M&A to complex litigation. Mr. Muir’s career began on Capitol Hill where he worked for Byron Dorgan. He also performed a variety of senior roles at Ogilvy and WPP PLC, where he was CEO of The Channel. He also served as the Director of Strategy to British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, a premiership dominated by the global financial crisis. Mr. Muir most recently served as the Director of Global Reputation Strategy and Policy at McKinsey & Company.
Mr. Muir serves of the Board of Advisers at the Institute of Politics at the University of Chicago and is a board member of the John Smith Centre for Public Service at the University of Glasgow.
Mr. Muir holds an MA (Hons) 1st class in politics and economics from the University of Glasgow and an MBA with distinction from London Business School and is a visiting fellow of the Institute of Politics at Harvard University.
