Hoke Slaughter

Hoke Slaughter is a Partner in the Strategic Advisory Group at PJT Partners, based in New York.

Prior to joining PJT Partners, Hoke was the founder of Hudson Investment Properties and before that, had a 26-year career at Morgan Stanley focused on real estate, both within the investment management and investment banking divisions. Hoke was a senior officer of Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing (MSREI) and, most recently, co-portfolio manager of two MSREI global real estate funds. Prior to that, he was head of the Asia region for MSREI, from 2008 to 2015.

Before that, Hoke was chairman of Morgan Stanley’s real estate investment banking group globally and a vice chairman of the firm’s investment banking division. With extensive experience in most major markets around the world, Hoke has worked on the full spectrum of real estate investing, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets activity, including numerous high-profile transactions. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 1990, he worked for Gerald D. Hines Interests in New York City and, before that, for Michael Graves, Architect and Alan Chimacoff, Architect, both in Princeton, New Jersey.

Hoke is on the board of Scenic Hudson, Inc. and has formerly served on two boards within the Urban Land Institute, ULI Asia and ULI New York. Hoke graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a BA in Architecture and received his MBA from Harvard Business School.
