Karl Knapp is a Partner in the Strategic Advisory Group at PJT Partners with primary focus on the Global Industrials sector, based in New York.
Mr. Knapp joined PJT Partners from Blackstone Advisory Partners in 2015 and has over 33 years of investment banking experience. Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Knapp spent 12 years at UBS Investment Bank, where he was a Vice Chairman of the Investment Banking Division and Head of the Global Industrials Group. While at UBS, Mr. Knapp was also a member of the firm’s Global Management and Executive Committees for the Investment Banking Division. Mr. Knapp joined UBS from Morgan Stanley and, prior to that, worked at both Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette and E.F. Hutton and Company. Over the course of his career, Mr. Knapp has worked on an extensive range of both M&A and Capital Markets transactions across multiple verticals in the Industrials sector.
Mr. Knapp received his MBA from Harvard Business School, an MA from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and a BA, magna cum laude, from Boise State University.
