Laurence Whittemore

Laurence Whittemore is a Partner in the Strategic Advisory Group at PJT Partners, based in New York.

Prior to joining PJT Partners, Mr. Whittemore spent 25 years at JPMorgan in a variety of roles covering the energy sector, the most recent of which was overseeing the firm’s oil and gas advisory business in North America. In this position, he led advisory teams on public and private corporate takeovers, cross-border mergers, corporate separations, joint ventures, asset sales and purchases, contested takeovers and corporate and activist defense. Prior to his M&A group role, Mr. Whittemore was a senior member of the global energy coverage group leading strategic advisory and equity and debt financings for oil and gas, midstream and power clients. He spent the first three years of his career at Credit Suisse in New York.

Mr. Whittemore graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College with an AB in History. He also received an MBA with distinction from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration where he was an Edward Tuck Scholar.
