Michael J. Freudenstein is a Partner in the Strategic Advisory Group, based in New York.
Following his 31 years at J.P. Morgan, where he was most recently Managing Director, Head of North American Market Structure and Asset Management in the Financial Institutions Group. He oversaw J.P. Morgan’s Corporate Finance and M&A business with public and private market structure and asset management companies. In addition to advising companies on M&A, Mr. Freudenstein has extensive experience helping companies raise capital across equity, equity-linked, high-grade debt and non-investment grade debt.
Prior to joining FIG in 2006, Mr. Freudenstein was Co-Head of North American Equity Research and the firm’s senior analyst for both the Brokerage and Asset Management and Specialty Finance sectors. Mr. Freudenstein was named to the Institutional Investor’s All-America Research Team for his coverage of specialty finance companies for five straight years including first team recognition in 2000.
Mr. Freudenstein has a BA in Accounting from Queens College and an MBA from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business.
