Nick Tansley is a Managing Director at PJT Partners, based in London and focused on Energy Transition.
With almost 30 years in the industry, his experience covers a wide range of sectors, including power equipment, automation, transportation equipment, aerospace components, transmission & distribution, machinery and metals & mining in both M&A and capital markets situations.
Mr. Tansley has a broad base of corporate experience, having advised large cap engineers, fast growing industrial technology businesses and sponsor owned assets. Over recent years, this accumulated knowledge has been leveraged into the broadly defined energy transition space. This has involved working across the value chains of, inter alia, energy storage, advanced nuclear, renewable generation and, an area of particular interest, hydrogen.
Mr. Tansley began his career at Coopers & Lybrand in London, subsequently joining Flemings before moving to Lehman Brothers in 2001. He remained with the business through its acquisition by Nomura in 2008, where he ran the European Industrial Group, until he joined Citigroup in 2011, where he was responsible for Diversified Industrials across EMEA. He joined Blackstone Advisory Partners as Head of European Industrial in 2014.
Mr. Tansley graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Birmingham, is a Chartered Accountant (ICAS) and holds a Diploma in IFRS (ICAI).
